Recall Argentina and its football fans have been on a senior level trophy drought for the past 29 years until they recently beat host nation Brazil in the finals of the 2021 Copa America tournament a couple of days ago.

The men’s senior national football team last won the 1993 FIFA Conference Cup and before that the famous 1986 FIFA World Cup which was single-handedly won by the legend Diego Amando Maradona in Mexico.

The whole nation was in a jubilant mood when the team led by Lionel Messi fulfilled the dreams of millions of Argentines by winning the country’s 15th Copa America title on the soil of their bitterest rivals.

A passionate fan as part of his celebration has tattooed the names and jersey numbers of all the Argentina players who played in the just-ended tournament and helped the nation in winning the title.

Some notable names includes Loniel Messi, Angel Di Maria, Sergio Aguero, Rodrigo de Paul, Lautaro Martinez, Nicolas Otamendi, Angel Correa etc.

This trophy marks Lionel Messi’s first international trophy on senior-level after having a disappointing final at the 2014 FIFA World Cup when Argentina was beaten 1 to nothing by Germany and also losing the 2015 Copa America finals to Chile on penalties.
