Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has held a lone protest to demand an end to the 8-month long Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.

The controversial entertainer hit the streets of Lekki, Lagos to call on the federal government to end the ongoing strike action.

Maduagwu said it has become annoying and it needs to be put to a stop in order not to degrade educational system.

He shared a video on his Instagram page which showed him as a crossdresser wearing brassiere and holding a placard.

It may be recalled that last Wednesday, the National Industrial Court ordered the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off the strike action

ASUU embarked on the strike in February 2020 and it has so far lasted for most part of the year.

In his ruling, Justice Polycap Hamman invoked section 18 of the Trade Dispute Act and national interest of the Nigerian students.

He therefore issued the order for suspension of the strike while ruling in an application filed by the Federal Government asking that the University teachers be compelled to go back to work pending the resolution of their demands for better working conditions.

In the video Maduagwu shared, he marched on the road in his bra while holding up a placard that demanded an end to the strike and also contained a remark aimed at relationshi[p expert, Blessing Okoro.

It read: “Dear FG, End ASUU strike now. No let our education bend like aunty Ble Ble bonanza ikebe”
