Popular Nigerian comedian, AY Makun has taken a trip down memory lane to recall how he used to babysit his younger brother Yomi Casual.
In a post sighted on his Instagram page, the comedian shared a photo of Yomi Casual with his son and talked about how he also used to carry him as a child.
He noted that the life of a child is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark and so we should deliberately help ourselves to grow by putting people on and giving them an opportunity to showcase their gifts.
He wrote: A second look at this picture I took of my younger brother @yomicasual carrying his son, only just confirmed to me that all the adults we see today were once children. I vividly remember carrying him around too under the instructions of my mother as a child, and today he is doing exactly the same thing.
Now the point I am trying to make here is that a child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark. Same goes to finding yourself in a position where you can help others grow physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially and otherwise.
The only way we can make things work and create a balance in our society, is to help people grow or be a part of helping them find their places in their areas of calling. Yesterday I was that young guy that was carried along by @Alibaba to become the AY brand today. It is also very possible that some other comedians can say the same thing about me, just like a @wizkidayo would about a @bankywellington, or a @iammayorkun about a @davido.
We need to learn how to carry people along, not because we are indebted to them, but because we see ourselves in them. The beauty of seeing someone’s hopes and dream comes true, also comes with a blessing that surpasses human understanding. We rise by lifting each other.
