22-year-old Medical Student Stabbed To Death By Her Boyfriend In Kenya

In Oloitoktok, Kajiado County, Kenya, a 27-year-old man has submitted himself to the police and confessed to killing his girlfriend after an altercation.

On Friday, October 22, the man, who introduced himself as an IT intern, confessed to stabbing his girlfriend, Miriam Chepchirchir, a 22-year-old Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) student, to death.

The guy said to police he went to Oloitoktok on Friday to see his lover, but they got into a dispute and he struck her in the neck and chest many times.

The police escorted the suspect to the crime scene, a Kamukunji estate three kilometers from the station, where they discovered the deceased’s body exactly as the suspect had described.

There were traces of struggle at the crime scene, according to the police report, where the men in blue reportedly recovered the murder weapon.

The suspect has since been handed to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), while the deceased’s body has been moved to the Oloitoktok Hospital mortuary, where it will be subjected to an autopsy.
